1. Mandatory proof of completion for tickets

Mandatory proof of completion for tickets

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

At Ed Controls, we are committed to enhancing project management and accountability. Our latest feature now requires mandatory proof submission when marking tickets as completed, ensuring thorough documentation and improved quality assurance.

Toggle option on new ticket screen:

  • When creating a new ticket, users will now see a toggle option to enforce mandatory proof submission.
  • This toggle defaults to the project’s setting, ensuring consistency across the project. If the project setting requires mandatory proof, the toggle will be on by default, and vice versa.

Completion process for Responsible users:

  • When a Responsible user changes the ticket status to “Completed,” a pop-up prompts them to add a proof if one hasnā€™t been added yet.
  • If a proof already exists, a checkbox appears allowing the user to confirm that it has been provided.
  • The ā€œCompleteā€ button remains disabled until the user adds text or an attachment as proof, preventing incomplete ticket closures.
  • The same behavior is applied when a ticket is reopened, maintaining consistency and accountability.

Bulk edit restrictions:

  • Bulk edits to “Completed” status are only allowed for tickets not requiring proof.
  • An informational message clarifies why certain tickets cannot be bulk edited to “Completed.”

Benefits of the mandatory proof feature

  • Increased accountability: Ensures all tasks are marked complete with proper evidence.
  • Improved documentation:Makes it easier to review and audit completed tasks with clear visual evidence.
  • Consistency and clarity: Maintains consistent handling of tickets across the project with clear process guidelines.

This feature is available to users with Pro and Expert licenses across all platforms. We believe this update will significantly enhance the way projects are managed, providing an extra layer of quality assurance and accountability.
