The handy overview tells you how to get started with Ed Controls.

To use Ed Controls, you need to register an account via web.edcontrols.com.

The Ed Controls app is available for Android and iOS.

In order to use Ed Controls you need to complete a one-time registration.

Ed Controls stores data on your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or PC. The data is also stored on our secure server.

A project you are no longer working on can be removed from your device, such as a mobile phone or tablet.

Adding someone can fail for a number of reasons.

Ed Controls only shows the projects you are added to, based on the account (email address) you are logged in with.

The ‘Manager’ role can be added at the contract level. This role is reserved for higher management or the director.

The Responsible is in charge of a ticket.

The Informed may view tickets and audits in projects to which he or she has been added.

A Reporter can easily and efficiently report snags in drawings to which he or she has access.

Only Administrators can create a project. A project can only be created via the browser.

A Support can be added in the project settings.

The minimum and recommended specifications for mobile devices

Ed Controls works on tablets and smartphones with iOS and Android. Browsers can also be used on a computer, tablet or phone.

If you are not yet linked to a project, we will give you access to a demo project. You can then already look around.

On the login page of web.edcontrols.com and on the start screen of the mobile application, it says 'forgot password?'. Go ahead and click on it.

Ed Controls stores all projects on our secure servers in the cloud. So, before you get started, you have to download the project onto your device.

A ticket has four statuses: created, started, completed and archived.

The Administrator is the one who creates projects in Ed Controls, assigns a single Accountable per project and archives projects in the end.

Ed Controls is free of charge for construction partners.

Each project has one Accountable who has all authorisations for that project.

An audit can be archived when it no longer needs to be active.

You can archive a ticket when it no longer needs to be active.

Ed Controls allows you to filter for archived drawings and files in the Library.

It's possible to move a drawing or file to the archive. The drawing or file will then disappear from your project's active overview.

It is possible to de-archive drawings and/or files in the Library. De-archiving is only possible through Ed Controls' web environment.

'Read-only' mode is the default setting when all your company's licenses are in use.

As an Ed Controls user, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in the following way.
