What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is used to verify the identity of digital users.

This is done by requesting at least two supporting documents to prove users' identity. In addition to a login, that could be a code sent to a mobile phone.

It is possible to enable 2FA in Ed Controls.

The Admin can switch on the Two-Factor authentication for the whole contract. All users of projects belonging to this contract will then need to login in with the 2FA.

The Admin can switch the 2FA on and off via the web version of Ed Controls: https://web.edcontrols.com

1. Click on your email address in the top right corner.
2. Select the option Contract information and then the name of your contract.
3. On the following screen, select the tab Contract information, switch the Two-way authentication on and click Save.
