Stay ahead with real-time notifications!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

We’ve introduced a new notification system in Ed Controls to keep you updated on key changes in tickets, audits, and projects. From new comments to role updates or due date changes, you’ll receive real-time alerts to help you stay on top of your work.

What’s new?

The notification system tracks updates as either “read” or “unread,” and each notification takes you directly to the relevant item—saving you time and effort. Here’s a breakdown of the changes you can expect:

  • Ticket updates: Get notified for new comments, due date changes, status updates, and role changes (Responsible, Consulted, or Informed).
  • Audit updates: Similar to tickets, you’ll be alerted for comments, role changes, and status updates.
  • Project updates: Notifications will be sent when roles change, project status updates (archive/unarchive), or when project documents are updated.

Streamlined for efficiency

  • Consolidated updates: If there are multiple updates within a ticket, audit, or project, you’ll only see the latest one, with an indicator showing how many updates have occurred.
  • Navigating directly: Clicking on any notification will navigate you directly to the relevant section, whether it’s a specific ticket, audit, or project document.
  • Custom notifications: Only users directly associated with a ticket, audit, or project will receive notifications—this prevents unnecessary alerts for users not involved in the particular update. Additionally, notifications will not be sent to RCI (Responsible, Consulted, Informed) users if they are not linked to the ticket or audit in question.

With these updates, you’ll have a clearer view of what requires your focus, allowing you to manage your work more efficiently.
