How do I filter across multiple projects?
Ed Controls allows you to filter across multiple projects simultaneously. This allows you to compare tickets and audits from those projects. For example, a safety coordinator can see the status of all tickets in projects related to safety, and management can see how construction is progressing across all projects. You can export the results to Excel for further analysis.
Here's how it goes
- Log into web.edcontrols.com;
- Open one of the projects you want to filter;
- Click on the name of the project in the top left of the menu;
- Now select the projects you want to include in the filter;
- Click on 'Apply';
- The tickets and audits in the selected projects will now be visible.
After you click 'Apply', the left panel shows the contract name and your selected projects under 'Projects'. A maximum of 5 projects is shown. If you selected more, you see '[n] more projects selected'. Click 'Show all' to see the full list and 'Show less' to show only 5 again. If you selected the whole contract, the panel shows 'All projects'.
To change your selection, you can
- remove a single project from the list;
- click 'Select more' to add projects;
- click 'Reset' to remove the filter.
Your selection stays active when you go to other pages.
Please note: When you filter across multiple projects, Ed Controls automatically switches to 'Read Only mode'. If you wish to make changes, you need to select a specific project. When you click 'Reset', you return to the previous project and Read Only mode is turned off.
