How do I forward an assigned ticket?

In Ed Controls, you can forward an assigned ticket to a third party. The person responsible for a ticket can forward a ticket in two ways.

- Add a new person responsible:

A ticket can sometimes be forwarded to a general Ed Controls account of a subcontractor, after which the subcontractor needs to forward the ticket internally to the appropriate person. This can be done by adding a new person responsible.

- Add a consulted person:

As the person responsible, you can also add a consulted person. This allows the person responsible to collaborate effectively with a subcontractor while remaining in control of the ticket status. This way, the person responsible does not need to be present on site themselves.

Here's how it goes:

  1. The Respondent of a ticket adds a Consulted;
  2. The Consulted gets a notification and can get started;
  3. The Consulted adds photos and text to the ticket of the work performed;
  4. The Respondent sees that the Consulted has executed the ticket correctly and will report the ticket ready.

This functionality is about the Ed Controls (web) app and works only within Ed Controls. It does not work to forward a ticket to a partner that does not use Ed Controls.
